Don Luis Coppel Rivas y su hijo Enrique Coppel Tamayo abren en Culiacán, Sinaloa la tienda “El Regalo”. Comenzaron vendiendo radios y relojes.

Don Luis Coppel Rivas and his son Enrique Coppel Tamayo opened the “El regalo” store in Culiacán, Sinaloa, selling radios and watches.
Nace “Coppel”
Tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, los clientes no podían pagar de contado, así es como deciden transformarse y vender muebles a crédito. “El Regalo” se convirtió en Coppel.
Coppel is born
After World War II, as customers were no longer able to pay in full, the business adapted by offering furniture on credit. “El Regalo” became Grupo Coppel.

Este Programa, contenido en nuestro Código de Ética, señala las conductas esperadas, aborda los mecanismos de consulta y/o denuncia, las facultades del Comité de Ética, las medidas disciplinarias y áreas participantes.
Nuestro equipo de Cumplimiento promueve la cultura del cumplimiento ético y legal en todo el Grupo, incluyendo nuestra política anticorrupción y de cero tolerancia en cualquiera de sus expresiones, incluyendo el soborno.

At Grupo Coppel, we have a corporate integrity program that enables us to prevent, address, and take action against undesirable conduct by our shareholders, board members, executives, employees, and third parties with whom we maintain business relationships.
This program, included in our Code of Ethics, outlines the expected conduct, addresses consultation and reporting mechanisms, defines the Ethics Committee’s authorities, disciplinary measures, and participating departments.

¿Qué es la Línea de Denuncia?
La Línea de Denuncia de Grupo Coppel es un canal seguro y confiable para colaboradores y terceros. A través de ella, es posible reportar conductas contrarias al Código de Ética y las Políticas de Grupo Coppel con el fin de identificar, prevenir y mitigar riesgos de prácticas indebidas o comportamientos que puedan derivar en delitos, para garantizar el bienestar de nuestros colaboradores.
Los reportes pueden ser anónimos y siempre son atendidos con carácter confidencial.
What is the Whistleblowing Hotline?
The Grupo Coppel Whistleblowing Hotline is a secure and reliable channel for employees and third parties. It allows reporting of conduct that violates Grupo Coppel’s Code of Ethics and Policies to identify, prevent, and mitigate risks of improper practices or behaviors that could lead to crimes, ensuring the well-being of our employees.
Reports can be made anonymously and are always treated with strict confidentiality.

Es posible reportar conductas irregulares de nuestros colaboradores.
Estas son algunas de las conductas que son contrarias a nuestro Código de Ética:
- Acoso y hostigamiento
- Seguridad y salud en el trabajo
- Discriminación
- Despido injustificado y represalias
- Robo, fraude y falsificación
- Conflicto de interés y corrupción
- Uso indebido de la información
Implementamos medidas y controles para evitar estos comportamientos en nuestro entorno, pero en caso de presentarse, la Línea de Denuncia es el canal disponible para reportarlas.
What types of conduct can be reported through the Whistleblowing Hotline?
It’s possible to report irregular behavior by our collaborators.
Some behaviors that are contrary to our Code of Ethics include:
- Harassment
- Safety and health at work
- Discrimination
- Wrongful termination and retaliation
- Theft, fraud, and forgery
- Conflict of interest and corruption
- Misuse of information
We implement measures and controls to avoid these behaviors in our environment. However, if they occur, the Whistleblowing Hotline is the available channel for reporting.
¿La Línea de Denuncia es segura?
La confidencialidad es un principio fundamental de la Línea de Denuncia, toda la información proporcionada por las personas denunciantes, así como aquella obtenida en el curso de las investigaciones, se maneja de forma estrictamente confidencial y segura con premisas de secrecía para ser protegida y no divulgada.
Al presentar una denuncia garantizamos que:
- El reporte puede ser anónimo.
- Las investigaciones son imparciales y confidenciales.
- Nuestros equipos están especializados y cuentan con controles de confianza para brindar un proceso de denuncia imparcial y seguro.
- No toleramos represalias por presentar o colaborar en la investigación de una denuncia.
- Desde el área de Línea de Denuncia es posible implementar medidas de protección al denunciante.
En Grupo Coppel velamos por los Derechos Humanos de todas las personas, respetando su integridad y dignidad.
Is the Whistleblowing Hotline a secure channel?
Confidenciality is a fundamental principle of the Whistleblowing Hotline. All information provided by whistleblowers, as well as information obtained during the course of investigations, is handled in a strictly confidential and secure manner, with secrecy measures in place to ensure it is protected and not disclosed.
By filing a report, we guarantee:
- Anonymity.
- Confidential investigations.
- Our teams are specialized and have trusted checks to provide a fair and safe reporting process.
- No tolerance for retaliation for filing or assisting in the investigation of a report.
- Implementation of protection measures for the whistleblower.

¿Qué sucede al utilizar la Línea de Denuncia?
Al realizar un reporte en la Línea de Denuncia, a través de nuestro equipo de expertos hacemos una investigación confidencial a fin de identificar si efectivamente existen conductas contrarias a nuestro Código de Ética y Políticas de Grupo Coppel para, en caso de ser aplicable, determinar las medidas que debemos establecer.
Estas medidas incluyen acciones correctivas, preventivas, mejoras a procesos internos e incluso acciones legales. Esto, para garantizar espacios seguros y ambientes adecuados de trabajo para nuestros colaboradores y cualquier persona que interactúa con Grupo Coppel.
What happens after using the Whistleblowing Hotline?
When making a report on the Whistleblowing Hotline, our team of experts conducts a confidential investigation to identify conducts contrary to our Code of Ethics and Grupo Coppel policies.
We determine applicable measures, including corrective and preventive action, improvement to internal processes, and legal action if necessary, ensuring safe spaces and adequate work environments for our collaborators.
¿Cómo es la Política de no represalias?
Grupo Coppel se compromete a mantener los más altos estándares éticos y propiciar las condiciones para contar con un espacio laboral confiable, libre de conductas irregulares, inapropiadas o ilegales.
Conforme a nuestra política de no represalias, no se tomarán medidas adversas o perjudiciales contra ningún colaborador, ex colaborador, agente o tercero por presentar reportes, informar, participar o ayudar en la investigación de una presunta infracción al Código de Ética, las políticas que conforman el Programa de Integridad y la normatividad aplicable.
What is the Non-Retaliation Policy?
Grupo Coppel is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards, fostering reliable workspaces free of irregular, inappropriate, or illegal conduct.
According to our non-retaliation policy, no adverse measures will be taken against any collaborator, former collaborator, agent, or third party for submitting reports, informing, participating, or assisting in the investigation of an alleged violation of the Code of Ethics, the policies that make up the Integrity Program, and applicable regulations
